URL redirection permits you to forward targeted traffic from one site to another. In contrast to redirecting a domain by parking it when the domain is practically unusable, a URL forwarding is possible only if the domain name is hosted, and therefore you shall still be able to set up entirely functional subdomains and e-mail addresses or even to have content for the domain in question, though it shall not accessible directly. If you currently have an Internet site, for example, but you would like to launch one or several localized websites for different towns or countries, you will be able to work on them without any problem. In case a visitor opens any one of the new domains, however, they will be forwarded to the existing site. That way, you won't miss potential customers while developing the localized Internet sites.

URL Redirector in Shared Website Hosting

The Hepsia CP, included with our shared website hosting, provides a URL redirection tool that will allow you to redirect any domain address or subdomain hosted within your account to any URL - in your account or a third-party one. Setting up a new redirection is rather uncomplicated - you must pick a domain/subdomain and then type the URL it needs to be redirected to. You could also redirect a specific subfolder only. As an example, when you have your-domain.com and your-domain.com/es, you could redirect only the latter. The tool has advanced features for more tech-savvy users as well, such as the feature to pick the redirection type - 301 (permanent redirection) or 302 (temporary redirection), the redirection method - direct or match, and so forth. If you no longer require a redirection, you could disable it with a click from the exact same section of the CP.

URL Redirector in Semi-dedicated Servers

If you open a semi-dedicated server account with our company and you wish to forward any one of your domains or subdomains, you can use the handy redirection tool we've added to our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel. It'll allow you to forward the traffic within seconds, since all you'll have to do is pick a domain/subdomain and type the Internet address of the other Internet site. The forwarding shall take effect right away. In case you are proficient, you shall be able to edit different options, like the type of the redirection - temporary or permanent, and the method - direct or match. These options could be altered for any active redirection as well, so you'll not need to set up a new one if you wish to edit something. You can remove a redirection by clicking on the Delete button associated with it.
